Hollywood actor, Ray Liotta, dead at 67

Liotta was globally famous for his role in the movie “Goodfellas”.

Ray Liotta, the actor known for his roles in Field of Dreams and the Martin Scorsese mob classic Goodfellas, has died. He was 67.

“Ray was working on a project in the Dominican Republic called Dangerous Waters when he passed. He passed in his sleep. He is survived by his daughter, Karsen and his fiancée, Jacy Nittolo,” his publicist Jennifer Allen said.

Lorraine Bracco, who co-starred as Liotta’s wife in Goodfellas, paid tribute to him on Thursday. “I am utterly shattered to hear this terrible news about my Ray,” Bracco wrote in a tweet. “I can be anywhere in the world & people will come up & tell me their favourite movie is Goodfellas. Then they always ask what was the best part of making that movie. My response has always been the same…Ray Liotta.”
Alessandro Nivola, who recently appeared with Liotta in The Sopranos prequel film The Many Saints of Newark wrote, “I feel so lucky to have squared off against this legend in one of his final roles. The scenes we did together were among the all-time highlights of my acting career. He was dangerous, unpredictable, hilarious, and generous with his praise for other actors. Too soon.”
