Huawei introduces selfie toning effect on latest handset

For those upgrading from feature phones to a smartphone, Huawei Mobile has a plan for you. In a week’s time, Huawei Mobile Kenya is set to unveil the HUAWEI Y5 Prime 2018 which will feature the stylish design of HUAWEI Full View Display.

HUAWEI Y5 Prime 2018 handset whose main target is the young generation who are looking for a chic big screen and comes with a bigger RAM of 2GB and 16GB ROM, which can be expanded to 256 GB.

A camera is among the key features for most youth. The HUAWEI Y5 Prime 2018 does not disappoint. The handset has a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera with Selfie flash to enhance the quality of the pictures you take and ensure you capture the most beautiful moments. “The HUAWEI Y5 Prime 2018 has a self-adapt lightness feature to ensure proper toning effect with every selfie,” says Huawei Mobile Kenya Country Director Derek Duh.

All this will cost you less than Kshs 10,000. Yes, the handset which has Jumia as the exclusive online retailer has been priced at Kshs 9,999.

Customers can preorder the HUAWEI Y5 Prime 2018 handset on Jumia online until Thursday 12th July and in retail stores across the country until 15th July. Huawei Mobile Kenya says customers who preorder the handset will automatically be given a gift hamper. 

Duh says: “We are introducing Y5 Prime 2018 to meet the growing demand of customers who are looking for budget-friendly device that provide the same function as any other phone that is a little bit pricy. The Pre-order phase is to introduce our consumers to the device which is currently available at both Jumia and other retail stores across the market.”

According to Huawei, the handset offers long battery life and excellent photo-taking features.

Huawei Y5 Prime 2018 has three card slots, of which, two are for Nano SIM-Cards and one is for MicroSD that can be expanded to up to 256GB.

Today, most meeting places have Wi-Fi hotspots. “Huawei Y5 Prime 2018 is a 4G handset with a capacity of up to 150Mbps/50Mbps. This ensures that you quickly upload or download documents, pictures or videos,” said Duh.
