Hungarian President János Áder due in Kenya Sunday

Hungarian President János Áder will make a four-day state visit to Kenya starting Sunday.

According to State House Spokesperson Kanze Dena, the Hungarian leader will be accompanied by First Lady Anita Herczegh.

“His Excellency János Áder, President of the Republic of Hungary will arrive in the country on Sunday, 16th January 2022 for a four-day State Visit at the invitation of President Uhuru Kenyatta” said Kanze.

They will be officially be received by their hosts President Uhuru Kenyatta and First Lady Margaret Kenyatta at State House, Nairobi on Monday.

Kenya and Hungary have enjoyed warm and strong bilateral ties dating back to 1964 when Hungary established an Embassy in Nairobi.

Áder is currently on a four-day visit to Ghana where he held bilateral talks with his counterpart Nana Akufo-Addo.

The two countries announced plans to establish a joint commission to serve as a platform for accelerating mutually beneficial cooperation between Ghana and Hungary.
