IEBC advertises Chief Executive Officer position

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission -IEBC  has advertised the position of the Chief Executive Officer.

The position fell vacant in October 2018 following the sacking of former CEO Ezra Chiloba.

The Commission has advertised Chiloba’s position with applicants required to submit their papers by the end of January.

Potential candidates must have at least fifteen years’ proven relevant experience in electoral management and public administration.

Former CEO Ezra Chiloba was fired from IEBC in October 2018 following accusations that he committed procurement irregularities in the run-up to the 2017 general elections.

The months long standoff between Ezra Chiloba and Chairman Wafula Chebukati brought to the fore deeply rooted rifts within the electoral body.
