IG Mutyambai orders arrest of people seen dragging man in Kwale

Inspector General of police Hillary Mutyambai has ordered the arrest of a group of men captured on a viral video forcefully dragging a man on the ground.

The National Police Service says the video caught their attention and confirmed that the incident occurred within Ukunda in Kwale County.

The IG ordered the Regional Police Commander Coast Region to immediately arrest all the perpetrators of the offense and arraign them.

Mutyambai warned against such brutal behaviours, saying nobody is above the law and that such acts of impunity will be met with the full force of the law.

In the video, a man is seen being dragged on the ground by a group of ten men. He was apparently being moved from a hotel premise following orders by the management.
