IRA: Long-term insurance claims increased by 8.5pc between April and June 2021

One thousand and 11 policyholders made long-term insurance claims daily between April and June this year, according to the latest data from the Insurance Regulatory Authority. This comprises those who lost their loved ones, had their education covers mature, those who lost their jobs or cashed in their life savings during the three-month period. As Brian Munyoki narrates, the 91,978 long-term insurance claims during the period represented an 8.5 percent increase when compared to data from the first three months of this year.
