Jubilee allied Coast MPs plot to unseat Joho

By KNA

Coast region Jubilee Party allied Members of Parliament have vowed to mobilize their forces to ensure Mombasa County Governor Hassan Ali Joho is unseated during the 2017 general elections.

Led by Kilifi North Member of Parliament Gideon Mung’aro, the leaders say they will marshal the political machinery in the region and ensure the control of the Opposition CORD in the region is destabilized.

Speaking at Dabaso, in Kilifi County Mung’aro officially declared his interest in the Kilifi Gubernatorial position whose current occupant is Amason Jeffa Kingi.

But while one would expect that Mung’aro would dwell in telling hundreds of locals who turned for the event the vision he had for the county, Mombasa County Governor Hassan Ali Joho was the focal point of almost every speaker who took to the podium.

Their message being crystal clear: that they will do all it takes to ensure Joho himself perceived as the Kingpin of Coastal politics is not re-elected come 2017.

The legislators are particularly unhappy with Joho’s sentiments that appeared to liken them to commodities bought by the Jubilee government.

Former Garsen MP Danson Mungatana, Kilifi South legislator Mustafa Idd, Ganze MP Peter Shehe, his Lungalunga counterpart Khatib Mwashetani, Kwale Woman Rep Zainab Chidzuga and nominated senator Emma Mbura are among the leaders who attended the launch.
