After long years of hue and cry, residents of Olchorro village in kajiado south sub county will benefit from a modern health facility.
The health facility put up by Kajiado county government is expected to improve access to medical services.
Residents of the remote village of Olchorro will have access to a mini maternity unit that can accommodate 10-15 patients, a patient unit, a pharmacy and a doctor’s quarter to ensure the dispensary operates 24 hours.
Expectant mothers are the biggest beneficiaries as they are assured of safe delivery and Kajiado county expects to reduce the high maternal and child mortality rates.
Governor David Nkedianye assured the residents that the county government is determined to provide accessible and affordable health services and urged the residents to put up modern toilets in their homesteads.
Nkedianye stated that in the last financial year the government spent Ksh 1.4 billion on medical services and employed 160 doctors across the county.
