Kalonzo steps in over Ngilu-Mulyungi spat

Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has moved in to mediate over an altercation between Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu and Mwingi Central MP Dr. Gideon Mulyungi.

The two elected leaders have been engaged in a supremacy battle that has degenerated into a public spat.

The bad blood between Kitui governor Charity Ngilu and Mwingi Central MP Dr. Gideon Mulyungi came into force just a week after the Kamba Koma meeting early this month in which  supporters of both leaders clashed in Mwingi town.

Mulyungi is said to be eyeing the Kitui gubernatorial position.

Kalonzo Musyoka Speaking at the burial ceremony of Mzee Paul Mutemi, a longtime political friend, in Mwingi Central constituency, Kalonzo said the political wars might cost his quest for the 2022 presidential bid.
