Kalonzo warns politicians against hate speech

Former vice president and Wiper Party leader Dr. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka has warned politicians in the country against spreading hatred among communities and spearheading ethnic based profiling of communities according to their political affiliations.

Speaking during the burial of a prominent politician and a former councilor Musyoka Munyambu, The Wiper party leaders said that this country has suffered enough in the past due to ethnic based violence; hence no leader who is thought to propagate should be left untamed.

Kalonzo said that he perturbed to hear an elected leader to the level of a legislator in the senate promoting hatred and openly claiming that some people in certain parts might be profiled for withholding their support for a certain politician.

Kalonzo remarks referred to the recent remarks by Nandi senator Samson Cherargei who has since been arrested and released on a cash bail over hate speech.

The Ukambani political kingpin said that no Kenyan has a right to profile any other Kenyan as they all belong to the same nation and no one ought to be compelled to support anyone as that’s so undemocratic.

He also said that he joined hands with President Uhuru Kenyatta in order to jointly put an end to poor governance and rampant corruption which had befallen this country.

On his political future and whether he would seek alliance with President Kenyatta, the former vice president said that time will tell.
