KBL decry high taxes | The brewer warns that high taxes will lead to reduced revenue

Kenya Breweries Limited is warning of a rise in the consumption of illegal brews due to the rising alcohol taxation in the country. The giant brewer further says the implementation of the inflation adjustment taxes by the Kenya Revenue authority will result in reduced government revenues, losses to farmers, distributors, and loss of jobs. The brewer says barley and sorghum-based beer sales have declined by 21% and 32% respectively for the period of July and August 2022.
