The 5th edition of the high performance coaching seminar comes to a conclusion Monday after 3 days of intensive training and demonstration sessions at the KCB leadership centre in Nairobi Kenya.
The continental event that is sponsored by KCB Bank Kenya brings together 70 coaches from different nations seeking to hone their volleyball skills.
KCB Group Head of Corporate and Regulatory Affairs Judith Sidi Odhiambo, who doubles as the volleyball patron has urged the coaches to adopt the techniques and methodologies from the seminar to revolutionize volleyball in Africa.
“It is our responsibility to carry these techniques and methodologies forward and ensure that it is implemented for the advancement of the volleyball game. You have the mandate to mold and shape these young people into responsible citizens therefore mentorship cannot be ignored”, said Judith.
International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) Instructor Mauro Berruto says the seminar aims to develop and improve the performance of coaches to the latest techniques globally.
“We have been focusing on interpersonal skills, advanced volleyball techniques in Service, blocking, defence system, drills”, said Mauro.
KCB Bank Kenya has injected Ksh. 2milion towards the staging of the Africa volleyball Federation (CAVB) coaching seminar event which was held at the Leadership Center from 2nd -4th March 2019.
