The eighth and the final round of the KCB Kenya National Rally championship is currently underway at the Stoni Athi Resort in Machakos County.
There are a total of 27 entries as well as drivers who will be battling out for top honours during the event.
KCB Bank Kenya Branch Manager Kitengela Francis Korage flagged off Carl Tundo and his Navigator Tim Jessop at the opening flag off ceremony at the Stoni Athi Hotel grounds at 7:27 Am.
“As KCB Bank we are thrilled by the impact of our noble sponsorship in Rallying, the level of competition and entries has tremendously gone up over the years. We are proud today to come to the end of this series here in Machakos County and I look forward to a fun and thrilling day ahead,” said Korage.
Carl Tundo is currently leading in this year’s championship series ahead of Baldev Chager and Onka Rai.
The two wheel drive leader Sarit Shah say he is expecting another close battle with second placed Daren Miranda in today’s season KCB and Multiple Hauliers Guru Nanak Rally.
Sarit Shah will be crowned the 2WD 2018 champion should he finish the Guru Nanak rally.
Daren, on the other hand, will be crowned the new 2WD champion if he finishes and Sarit retires.
