KCB road to the Masters Series underway at Sigona Golf Club

The 1st  round of the KCB road to the masters takes place  Saturday at the par 72 Sigona Country Club.

Over 220 golfers will be taking part in the event that will see six selected winners grab tickets to the prestigious KCB Karen Master Pro-Am tournament.

Among those taking part in today’s competition is Bharat Shah,Timothy Kuria and Captain the club Mr. Muraya Kariuki .

“We are very much excited to have a huge field of golfers for the KCB road to the Masters, the course is challenging but we are looking at the making of new stars in the game, said the Captain.”

At least 20 staff golfers are lined up for the weekend showdown including, KCB Group Head of Investor Relation Mr. David Kitheka, Business partner Human Resource Azure Ogola and Bernard  Katonya from KCB IT department.

Mr. Kotonya who qualified in last year’s Karen Masters said, “I am happy to kick off this year’s series. I hope to play well as I looked forward to qualify to play in the Karen Masters.

KCB Group Marketing and Communications Director Angela Mwirigi says the bank is committed to nurturing golf talent around the country.

“ This golf series presents the greatest opportunity for any golfer and we are excited as KCB to increase our participation at this year’s event, we envisage to give hundreds of golfers an opportunity of playing alongside Sunshine Tour top golfers.”

The overall winner, men’s winner, guest winner, staff winner, lady winner and one wild card winner will get an automatic slot of playing the KCB Karen Masters that tees off at the Par 72 Karen Country Club from the 25th-30th of June 2019.
