Kenya beats Uganda in last Dubai Sevens Series group match

National Rugby Sevens team has qualified for the quarter finals of the Dubai sevens after beating Uganda 29-14 in their last group match.

The team coached by Innocent Simiyu booked a place in the Main Cup quarters after finishing first in group ‘A’ with seven points.

They defeated Canada 29-15 in their first match but lost 48-05 to South Africa in their second encounter then beat Uganda 29-14 in their last group match to sail through to the main cup quarters.

Last year, Kenya finished in the 12th position overall with 63 points. The national team us using the series to prepare for next year’s Rugby Sevens World Cup to be held in San Francisco, USA.
