Kenya Defense Forces to recruit 3000 officers

The Ministry of Defense will employ an additional 3000 officers during the second 2018 Kenya Defense Forces recruitment exercise.

Speaking during the launch of the exercise KDF Vice Chief of defense forces lieutenant General  Robert Kibochi, say the recruitment will be conducted in strict adherence to the set regulations.

The month long exercise to be carried out in all sub counties across the country will have 16 teams overseeing the exercise to ensure it is conducted in accordance with the KDF act.

Kibochi who launched the nationwide recruitment drive said 3000 new eligible recruits  will be shortlisted to joint different units that makes  up the KDF.

A number of recruits aged between 30 and 35 years of age will be drawn from the National Youth Service.

The vice chief of staff cautioned the public against conmen who will use the opportunity to swindle money from unsuspecting public saying during the last exercise Kenyans lost  4.9 million shillings to such cartels.

Once they complete their training, Kibochi said most of the recruits will be deployed to active combat among other assignments in the force.
