Kenya Junior swimmers prepare for Dolphin Junior championship

About 200 Kenyan swimmers will compete in next month’s Dolphin junior swimming championship set to be held from 4th to 9th of next month in Kampala, Uganda.

Some of the swimmers who will travel to Kampala competed in Saturday’s Lifetime Junior and senior swimming derby held at Makini School.

The Kenyan junior swimmers are looking to record their best ever performance at the Dolphin Junior championship which will be held in Uganda next month.

Some of the swimmers competed at the lifetime junior derby at Makini School, recording some of the best times in different categories.

Wambugu Isabel and Tevin Waweru were among winners of the day, both posting their best times to win 25-meter backstroke event.

Isabel of Brookhouse clocked 25 second to win the girls 7 years and under event ahead of Neema Owino and Sonia Herania who were second and third respectively.

Tevin won the boys event in 22.19 seconds, beating Ryan Mukoto and David Osawa who were the other podium finishers.

Other winners of the derby included Kialah Mantuah, Emmanuel Ubom, Virginia Wangare, Michael Kalombo and Amani Njau.
