Kenya marks 22 years since 1998 Nairobi bomb blast

Where were you on the 7th of August, 1998? What do you remember? Today (Friday) marks 22 years since the bomb blast tragedy at the US Embassy in Nairobi.

Close to 250 people were killed and nearly 5,000 injured in the Al Qaeda-linked attack.

On their twitter handle, U.S. Embassy Nairobi said the mourn those who were killed and stands with all who were injured or affected by the brutal attack.

The terrorists also carried a simultaneous attack that also targeted the American embassy in Dar es Salam in neighbouring Tanzania.
