Congratulations to all nominees.
Back in April, we announced that the No Waste Challenge presented by What Design Can Do and the IKEA Foundation is was open for submissions. The challenge is a global design competition focusing on addressing the enormous impact of waste and consumerism on climate change. Radical new ideas and design-driven solutions to reduce waste and rethink the world’s entire consumption and production cycle were encouraged as submissions. The No Waste Challenge team has since unleashed the list of nominees and Kenyans have shon bright on it.
The nominees list consists of a list of 85 and Kenyans have slotted themselves 10 places on the list. The nominees were selected according to impact, creativity & design, feasibility, and scalability. Here are the Kenyan nominees:

- Pfand Pesa
- DiscoverBrands 3D Printing
- No Waste Macadamia Food Design
- Nairobi City Water
16 winners are set to be announced on 15th July 2021 and they will receive €10.000 in funding and their projects will be launched into a development program.
