Kenyan thriller series Igiza has come to a dramatic end. The 13-episode show which streamed weekly on the web series platform Showmax remained one of the most watched shows on the platform for its 13-week run.

The series follows the chaotic lives of twin sisters Linda and Nicole (played by Serah Ndanu). The show also focuses on Dom ( played by Blessing Lung’aho) who’s on the cusp of getting everything he’s ever wanted, Reggie (played by Kevin Samuels) who is pulled deeper and deeper into a dangerous criminal underworld and Chris (Eddie Mbugua), the money laundering boss and casual psychopath who holds Reggie’s fate in his hands.

The show premiered in May of 2022 with a screening and Q&A session with the cast and crew.

Speaking about her role during the panel Q&A session, lead Serah Ndanu described her dual role of twins Linda and Nicole as a very intense process that was quite daunting at first, especially in scenes with both characters together.

“Igiza being a first of its kind and also having this much pressure, I was always dreading those scenes of Linda and Nicole together but I’m so happy that they turned out to be some of the best scenes,” Serah said.

The finale offers the intrigue, suspense and drama that the show has become synonymous with in its 13-week run.

All 13 episodes are now available to stream on Showmax.
