Kenya’s U23 confident of a win over Sudan

The Kenya U23 National team Head Coach Francis Kimanzi says the team will not leave anything to chance when the Emerging Stars host Sudan on Tuesday in the 2nd Leg of the Africa U23 Cup of Nations cum Olympics Qualifier, at the Kasarani Stadium from 4pm.

The team will be out for nothing less of a win if they are to qualify for the next round.

After an 8-1 aggregate win over Mauritius in their first round of the Africa Under-23 Cup of Nations match, the Emerging Stars fell 2-0 to Sudan in the first leg of the 2nd Leg.

Coach Kimanzi has however assured fans that the team will be out for redemption when the two sides clash at the Kasarani stadium.

The winner on aggregate will face off with either of Libya or Nigeria in the third and final qualifying round.

Elsewhere, NYSA registered their first win this season, thrashing pre-match favorites Makadara Junior 4-1 in Game Week 3 of the Super 8 Premier League.

The win shoots NYSA to 9th on the log with 4 points while Makadara remains winless after three rounds.

Meanwhile, Champions Jericho All stars registered their 1st loss this season, going down 1-0 to Team Umeme. Jericho drops to third on the log with six points, one shy of leaders Metro Sports while Umeme climbs to 4th also with 6 points.
