Femi was awarded Best Female Rap Act at the ward ceremony over the weekend.
Award-winning Kenyan rapper Khaligraph Jones has congratulated Kaka Empire’s Femi One on her AFRIMMA win.
Taking to social media, Jones said he had always believed in her and called her award the “biggest win for East Africa.”
Femi One won the coveted Best Female Rap Act at the AFRIMMA awards held in Texas. Femi was up against South Africa’s Nadia Nakai, Nigeria’s Ms Banks, Candy Bleaks Sierra Leone’s Nata, Ghana’s Feli Nuna, Tanzania’s Rosa Ree and fellow Kenyan Fena Gitu.
“Femi Uno, Congratulations on your Win, Always believed in you from day 1… This is one of the biggest wins in East African Hip Hop, don’t sleep on this Milestone,” (SIC) Jones wrote in part.
Appreciating the message, Femi replied with her thanks and acknowledged that Jones had always been one of her biggest supporters.
“Khali! Thank you for the continued support from day 1.. you a real one. Stay blessed,” she replied.
Jones’ message follows King Kaka’s who also congratulated Femi on her win calling her story a miracle.
