Kiambu bar owners condemn illegal ransacking by police

Bars Owners in Kiambu County have condemned the ongoing security operation going on in the area claiming their premises are being ransacked and stocks confiscated without any court orders.

Led by their Chairman Richard Kagiri, the owners want action to be taken against the law enforcement officers who are engaged in the clandestine act.

Speaking during a consultative meeting the bar’s operators vowed to move to court to sue the local Administration and Kiambu County Enforcement officers for allegedly breaking into their premises and carting away their stock.

The claim even after abiding by the government’s directive to cease operations a group of security officers have been breaking into the premises in the guise that they are operating illegally.

They no want the government to constitute a task force that would involve their members in policymaking to have their views taken into account as their businesses are suffering too yet they have to meet their bills.
