Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa freed on Ksh 100,000 cash bail

Kimilili Member of Parliament Didmus Barasa has been released on a Ksh 100,000 bond.

The legislator had been charged on two counts of defrauding a businessman John Irungu Mwangi of 450,000 shillings by selling him a car that was charged to Uwezo Microfinance Bank and still had an uncleared loan.

The car in question is a Toyota Hiace registration KBX 734E.

According to police report, the MP committed the offence on March 10, 2017 at Kitengela Township in Isinya Sub-county.

Barasa  through his lawyer George Khaminwa however denied the allegations before Kajiado Resident Magistrate Becky Cheloti Barasaa who set free the legislator on 100-thousand shillings bond.
