Kirinyaga County ready to host devolution conference

Kirinyaga County Commissioner Sam Onjwang says the county is ready to host devolution conference slated to kick off from 4th to 8th of March.  

According to the county boss all system h    as been activated with security being given a paramount attention.

Speaking to press at his office the county commissioner revealed that enough security will be deployed in and outside the devolution conference ground to thwart any breach of security.

He said that in collaboration with county government they are meeting daily to plan and strategize on the way to hold successful devolution conference first to be held in the rural counties.

Onjwang revealed that national government is erecting street lights in all major roads and same time its expanding the busy Sagana/Kagio/Kutus/Samson-corner highway for free flow of the traffic during conference.

Over 6,000 local and international participants will attend the conference.

Mr Onjwang revealed that Hotels in Kirinyaga County have limited bed capacity, and they have liaised with neighboring counties to accommodate delegates who will be able to secure a place in the major towns.
