KNUT central region branch wants Sossion to step down

Kenya National Union of Teachers central region branch is threatening to oust KNUT Secretary general Wilson Sossion.

The branch officials claim calls by Sossion to have Teachers service commission disbanded is uncalled for and backward as it does not represent the interest of teachers.

Kirinyaga County Deputy Secretary General Patrick Mwangi says Sossion is championing his own goals.

The unionists drawn from the 10 branches in the region are opposed to have teachers employment handed over to the ministry of education as it was before.

They have now give Sossion an ultimatum of 7 days to vacate office or they will remove him by force.

Sossion had proposed to the BBI that TSC be disbanded and teacher employment be reverted to the Education ministry.
