Bandari FC narrowly beat Kariobangi Sharks 1-0 in a Kenya Premier League Round 14 match played at the Kasarani Stadium on Saturday, to avenge their Sportpesa Cup loss to the William Muluya side last month in Tanzania.
Coast-based Bandari FC came into this fixture, aware that a win would see them leapfrog League Leaders Mathare United into the top spot on the standings, while Kariobangi Sharks were hoping to end up in the Top 3 after 90 minutes.
After a goalless draw in the 1st half, Congolese Forward Yema Mwana headed in a Moses Mudavadi cross in the 2nd half, to send Bandari top of the table.
