Ksh 24 billion Karemenu dam to be completed in June

The opening of the 24 billion shillings Karemenu dam in Kiambu county has been pushed forward to June this year, due to compensation challenges. The 26.5 billion littre dam is expected to help alleviate water supply challenges in Kiambu and Nairobi counties. Acting water principal secretary Eng. Joseph Njoroge has said the project is 85% complete with piping and acquisition of land expected to be completed next month.
