British and Finnish champion Tapio Laukannen and his compatriot Pasi Torma have jetted in ahead of the KCB Kitengela outing.
Tapio is optimistic of grabbing a first ever African title as the driver’s battle for top honours over the weekend.
“I am very well prepared for the rally everything is looking good so far., we are aiming for the great reach If we do have a chance to win then very well”, said Tapio.
The driver will be first off the ramp on Sunday morning during the KCB Kitengela Rally ceremonial flag off. All the rallies are always challenging in this kind of conditions, but off Course the few days rally it’s a challenge but it doesn’t give me any pressure with the route or how many days you’re driving, it’s all about the preparations.
The Finnish ace will be competing next season in the familiar Subaru that has given the pair 4 victories so far.
“This season has been very good for us, last year as well good results and we have had some ups and downs but it’s part of the game and of cause now the championship is looking very good the title is almost there but once again it’s never sure before we get to the end” ,said Tapio.
His navigator Pasi Torma is confident of a stellar performance in the Kitengela outing.
“I am confident with everything but they’re a lot of guys and obviously if you look at the championship we do not really need to win we have to be cleaver now to get to the finish”, says Pasi.
