Don’t take your family affairs abroad DP Gachagua tells Samidoh

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has urged Mugithi singer Samuel Muchoki, better known as Samidoh, to stop taking his family affairs abroad.
Speaking during the burial of Pauline Nyokabi, sister to Trade Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria, the DP made light of the relationship drama that went viral during Samidoh’s performance in Dubai when Senator Karen Nyamu got into a confrontation with Samidoh’s wife Edith ‘Edday’ Nderitu.
Gachagua also made reference to an African proverb saying, "Samidoh needs to control his people because as the African proverb says 'an elephant never tires carrying its tusks."
The DP further warned Samidoh, who doubles as an administration police officer, that the government would limit his travel or prevent him from going alone.
"We will discipline you. We will not allow you to go overseas or we will limit you to going alone," the DP said. A comment that was laughed off by those in attendance.
A month after the incident, on January 18, Senator Nyamu appeared before United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party Disciplinary Committee to show cause why. The committee gave the first-time senator more time to respond to the allegations and is scheduled to appear again on January 24, 2023.
