The Tribute series to honour African Greats at this year’s concert

The Tribute Series which was curated by a group of musicians in Nairobi is a concert event that honours musical legends who have passed on and those still living.
This year’s event will take place on February 25 and 26 at The Hub in Karen. In keeping with the event’s tone, the family-friendly concert will celebrate all things African from the food, drinks, outfits and music.
Among the legends set to be honoured include the late Papa Wemba, Lucky Dube, Miriam Makeba, Oliver Mtukudzi and Fela Kuti.
Set to perform at the event are musicians Amani Baya, Chep, Daniel Chikwaza, June Gachui, Kendi Nkonge, Mellah, Nechesa Odima, Ras Amor, SERRO, Vini Ngugi, Viola Karuri, Webi and Ythera.
The vocals will be accompanied by the band made up of Benjamin Kabaseke – Guitar, George “Possum” Nyoro – Keys and MD, Kasiva Mutua – Percussion, Richard Wandati – Drums, Tito Monako – Bass.
