Lupita Nyong’o begins filming “A Quiet Place: Day One”

The prequel to the 2018 post-apocalyptic horror film “A Quiet Place” has began filming. The film dubbed “A Quiet Place: Day One” stars Kenyan Academy winner Lupita Nyong’o who will star in the film alongside Joseph Quinn (Stranger Things), and Alex Wolff (Hereditary).
Sharing behind-the-scenes photos, John Krasinski, the film’s writer, producer and star (he was the lead in the 2018 film) wrote, “Requisite photo of slate on day 1… this time with a twist! So honored to be there day 1 of @AQuietPlace DAY ONE with the maestro @MichaelSarnoski and legendary @Lupita_Nyongo Cannot wait to see what magic they conjure in this one!”
The photos give us a look at the upcoming disaster film, which will take a look into the early days of the alien invasion at the heart of the “A Quiet Place” film series.
This will not be Lupita’s first foray into horror, she first took on the genre in Jordan Peele’s 2019 film “Us”.
This is the star’s first project (that we know of) this year after a successful 2022 with the sequel to "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" in which she reprised her role as Nakia.
Lupita capped off the year by spending the holidays with her family. In January, Lupita shared cozy pictures of her family vacationing at the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort in Wyoming, U.S.
The movie is scheduled to be released on March 8th, 2024.
