Machakos County Gov’t to upgrade Kangundo Hospital

Machakos Governor, Dr. Alfred Mutua has assured the residents of Kangundo and Matungulu sub-counties of his government’s commitment to upgrade Kangundo Level 4 hospital.

Speaking when he visited the hospital and spoke to patients, Dr. Mutua said the hospital will soon be upgraded to international standards.

The governor who was accompaniment by his wife, Lilian Nganga regretted that services at the hospital were wanting in many aspects.

“My wife has offered to assist me in ensuring that the required standards in the hospital are attained,” he said and added, “My wife will visit the hospital occasionally to ensure that the upgrade is being down to the letter.”

The Governor assured the residents that all health centers and hospitals will in the next three months undergo a major facelift and have the necessary infrastructure put in place to cater effectively for patients.

Mutua directed the county executive for Health and Emergency Services Naomi Mutie to put together a committee that will seek to recruit staff willing to work in Machakos County.
