Tucked in Mombasa county lies the beautiful Nyali shoreline filled with exotic and scenic views.
Nyali, located in the northern coast of Kenya, is a place of white sandy beaches stretching 20 kilometres long and dotted with palm trees. This is a place of extreme relaxation. As the saying goes, life is easy with the ocean breeze. Spending time here watching the ocean is therapeutic, especially with the beach at you disposal.
Nyali beach is protected by coral reefs and forms part of the Mombasa marine reserve. The reef plays an important role in the oceanic system providing food and safety to almost 1,000,000 species of marine life. This makes Nyali a paradise destination for divers
The Mombasa marine national park and reserve lies between Mtwapa and Tudor Creeks. The Marine is home to a colorful variety of species. This includes crabs, turtles, starfish, sea grasses and interesting migrating birds such as the crab plovers. It is quite fascinating to watch the birds which can be found during nature walks along the beach.
It is not a complete visit to Nyali if you haven’t sampled the regions cuisine and cultural way of life. The tantalizing cuisine includes dishes such as Bhajia, Mahamri, Biryani and Samosas.
