Meru Governor-elect Kawira Mwangaza joins Kenya Kwanza

Meru Governor-elect Kawira Mwangaza has joined Kenya Kwanza a week after she won the seat as an independent candidate.

Kawira who is the incumbent Woman Representative floored Governor Kiraitu Murungi as well as UDA candidate Mithika Linturi in the August 9th election.

She becomes the first woman Governor of Meru County, 9 years after she contested for the Buuri constituency parliamentary seat and lost.

Kawira who is also bishop at Baite Family Fellowship Church in Meru County would late be elected Meru County Woman Rep in 2017 running as an independent candidate.

She has now ascended to the highest seat in the County with Deputy President William Ruto lauding her for choosing to work with Kenya Kwanza.

She now joins a handful of elected leaders who have agreed to partner with Kenya Kwanza among them UDM Party Leader and Mandera Senator-Elect Ali Roba, Deputy Party Leader and Marsabit Governor-Elect Mohamud Ali, Mandera Governor-Elect Mohamed Adan Khalif among other elected MPs.
