Michaela Coel cast in “Black Panther” sequel

The second Black Panther film is currently in production.

British actress Michaela Coel has been cast in the sequel to the Marvel movie “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”. Production on the second film begun last month in Atlanta’s Trilith Studios (previously Pinewood).

Although she has begun filming, the name of the character she is playing has yet to be disclosed. Coel joins the ensemble cast of Lupita Nyong’o, Daniel Kaluuya, Winston Duke, Florence Kasumba, Angela Bassett, Danai Gurira and Letitia Wright.

Michaela has had an amazing award season this year. “I May Destroy You”, which she co-wrote and starred in, received four Emmy nominations last month, won her a British Academy Television Award for Best Actress, a Peabody and a slew of other awards.

Michaela has starred in a variety of other shows including “Chewing Gum”, “Black Mirror”, “Black Earth Rising”, all of which you can stream on Netflix Kenya.
