Mwala MP ‘Kawaya’ retains seat on UDA ticket

Mwala Member of Parliament Vincent Musyoka alias ‘Kawaya’ has retained her seat on a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ticket, after garnering a total of 35, 578 votes.

Kawaya’s main competitor Backley Kilei Mutinda of Wiper Democratic Party came second with 17, 165 votes.

“There is no greater approval than being given the chance by the people to serve them for three consecutive terms. I do not take it for granted. This shows they have trust in my leadership,” he stated

He attributes his success to proper service delivery to his people and being accountable to them.

He was first elected to Parliament in 2013 on a Chama Cha Uzalendo (CCU) ticket and later re-elected in 2017 on a Maendeleo Chap Chap (MCC) party ticket.
