Nana Owiti says she turned to God during King Kaka’s illness

“May I never forget how badly I needed God’s touch,” Owiti said.

Nana Owiti, Kenyan rapper’s King Kaka’s wife, has said she turned to God when the rapper fell sick a year ago.

She called that period of their life shocking and confusing.

Taking to Instagram in what she called being “honest” she wrote,“…Ever since King got sick and was healed, I had a spiritual awakening. It felt confusing. As a family, we were shook right as it was happening and we had only one place to run to and that was to God!” (sic)

She also credited her pastor and his wife for standing with them during that difficult period in her life, even going so far as to drive to their house when she was at her most distraught.

“ I can’t count the number of times I called my fave Passie, Pastor Njoro just to pray with me over the phone. The number of times I would just call him to say I didn’t have the strength no more (sic) and my husband was slipping away. The number of times he and his wife would rush home even at night to pray with us,” she said.

Crediting God’s grace for King Kaka’s recovery, Nana said she hopes to never forget God’s miraculous power and has vowed to raise her children within the church.

“May I never forget how badly I needed God’s touch. I still do.I’m not perfect in fact far from it but my relationship with God is always…Also, I made a vow that my kids would know who God is. They would know Him as not only a healer but a restorer of life,” she said.

Last year, King Kaka, real name Kennedy Ombimba, opened up about a misdiagnosis that took a toll on his health leading to him losing 33 Kgs.

In a post, the rapper wrote, “Dear Fans, it’s only right that I share this with you. I have been sick for 3 months and 8 days now. I was misdiagnosed. Lost 33 kgs and in the process we started hospital visits, did all the tests and they were Negative funny thing is I feel no pain and we are still hopeful that we will get the solution soon.”

The rapper has never revealed what he was suffering from.
