National Rugby Sevens team resumes training

The National Rugby Sevens team resumed training Wednesday after the Christmas and New year’s break.

The team is preparing for the upcoming rounds of the 2016/17 HSBC Sevens World Series in Wellington, New Zealand and Sydney, Australia.

The team has been in nonresidential camp at the Peponi School since 19th of last month.

Shujaa currently sit 10th after the opening two rounds of the season, picking up five points after reaching the challenge trophy semifinal in Dubai before gathering twelve points by way of losing in the fifth place final in Cape Town.

The Wellington sevens will be held on the 28th of this month and the Kenyans will be in a tough pool against England, Argentina and Papua New Guinea.
