New regulations to create orderliness in transport

Boda Boda operators in Kisumu County have up to the 31st of December just two weeks away, to comply with new traffic regulations in the County.
The area Governor Jack Ranguma says those who will not have complied with the new law will lose their licenses.
The new regulations are designed to tackle issues of insecurity and create orderliness in the transport business.
As the clock ticks towards the December 31st deadline, Kisumu county government has issued a final reminder to Boda Boda Operators; Comply with the new regulations or lose your licenses.
Kisumu governor Jack Ranguma says the rate of crime and accidents in the county has been on the rise, the new regulations will help reduce such incidents.
The new regulations require Boda Boda riders to wear uniforms, be issued with Identification cards to authenticate that they are licensed as well as have road Licenses that they will be required to carry at all times.
The county government has also embarked on offering sensitization seminars to educate the riders on the new laws and road safety awareness.
