The show will be hosted by Ashiko Mbune and Nick Wang’ondu
Fans of travel shows and travel enthusiasts are in for a treat come Friday night as a new travel show called Zurura premieres on KBC Channel one at 8 PM.
The travel show’s name comes from the Swahili word Zurura which means to wander aimlessly, but the show intends to bring new meaning to the word by shining a light on Kenya’s dynamic culture and beauty.
According to the show’s producer/host, the show will promote Kenya and focus on our country’s virtues. “It’s a show that highlights culture, promotes our heritage; it really puts an eye on Kenya and gives Kenyans a nice view of something they haven’t seen. Hopefully, it will invigorate us to go out there and explore more of our country,” says Nick Wango’ndu the show’s host and creator.
One of the show’s main goals is to show that travel needn’t be expensive. “ We are trying to break the myth that for you to be able to travel…explore your country, you need to have an amicable bank balance. That is not so,” says the show’s co-host Ashiko Mbune.
“Zurura” will be available to watch on KBC Channel One and to stream here on Friday, June 2nd at 8 PM.
