MOJA Expressway Company has denied accusations of colluding with Traffic Police Officers for unscrupulous gain.
In a statement Thursday, the Expressway Company said it works closely with the National Police Service to maintain law and order and to ensure the smooth flow of traffic.
MOJA made the clarification after a prominent Social Media blogger alleged that it was working with Traffic Police to redirect traffic to the Nairobi Expressway for monetary gain.
“The National Police Service is only mandated to enforce the provision stipulated by the Traffic Act and emphasize safety on the Expressway,” read part of the statement.
“We treat the accusation that MOJA with Traffic Police to redirect traffic to the Nairobi Expressway as a misleading fabrication from a point of ignorance,” statement read further.
The Company said it was committed to revolutionizing transport by offering a world-class service attracting both domestic and foreign investment.
“We are a transparent organization comprised of a team of experts drawn from different fields but working together for a common goal and therefore treat feedback from stakeholders with utmost importance.”
