Stolen goods that were packed in a lorry recovered at Kasikeu area in Makueni County

Detectives have recovered goods estimated to be worth over Ksh. 9.5 million that had been stolen from a godown in Embakasi.

Three suspects, Harun Wachira, Dennis Onkoba and Wambua Mutua, have been arrested in connection with the theft of the merchandise belonging to Bu-mat distributors.

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations says they were arrested hours after the incident at Kasikeu area within Makueni County as they fled with the merchandise that was packed in a lorry.

The goods included smart speakers worth over Ksh. 6M, kitchenware and other goods that had been loaded into a Mitsubishi canter while headed for the black market.

The suspects are currently in custody being processed to answer to charges of robbery with violence.
