Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu on Wednesday led education officials in paying their last respects to late Prof George Magoha.

Caravan carrying body of Late Prof. George Magoha arrived made its way from the Nigerian High Commission to Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) headquarters where Education CS Ezekiel Machogu laid a flower on hearse carrying the body of his predecessor.

The farewell caravan passed through significant places in Magoha’s life including the College of Health Sciences-University of Nairobi, the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council Headquarters, St. George’s Primary School, the Offices along Dennis Pritt Road, State House Girls High School and Starehe Boys Centre.

The Funeral Organizing Committee in charge of planning the funeral of the late Prof. George Magoha has announced that a requiem mass will be held at the Consolata Shrine, Westlands Thursday from 9:00 am to celebrate Prof. Magoha’s life whose work was always guided by his deep Catholic faith.

Principal Secretary, State Department of Early Learning and Basic Education, Julius Jwan, the family spokesperson said that the former Education CS will be laid to rest at his home in Umiru Nyamninia, Yala, on February 11, 2023.
