The National Land Commission is undertaking a review of all land allocations in the expansive Jimba settlement scheme in Kilifi County.Â
NLC acting chairperson Abigail Mbagaya says the four day exercise will help identify genuine land in the 500 acre piece of land.
The exercise is part of an initiative to rid the region of perennial cases of land grabbing.
Kilifi North MP Owen Baya said perennial land grabbing has been a major source of wrangles among the locals in the region.
The National Land Commission is currently engaged in a review of land allocations in settlement schemes in the coast region, among them Chembe Kibambamche, Chakama, Ngomeni and Kijipwa.
The Commission has warned land grabbers in the schemes that the government will soon reposes the grabbed parcels of land.
