Nominated MCA Joseph Kapchanga arrested for allegedly assaulting a woman

Joseph Trikoi Kapchanga, a nominated MCA, and his sister have been arrested by police in Endebes Sub County for allegedly assaulting a woman whom they accused of having an affair with their father.

Endebes OCPD Salesioh Murithi said that the incident happened in Cholim village when the accused together with his family members went to the home of Justin Chepkwarat and her son Gideon Naibei (23years) and assaulted them.

According to police reports, Kapchanga and the others went to the home of the 50-year-old widow with their father, Kapchanga Marangachi, in tow.

Police say there was drama as the MCA frog marched his father to the widow’s home in a bid to force him to admit their affair.

Kapchanga senior, however, denied the allegations and escaped.

Murithi said that the family then drove away from the woman’s home but she later went to a hospital where she was treated together with her son and issued with P3 forms.

The OCPD confirmed that the MCA and his sister Hellen Kapchanga were arrested while 8 other family members are still at large.

Murithi said the two will be arraigned in court on Tuesday where they will be charged accordingly.
