Muhoroni Youth Football Club has dismissed reports indicating that lead striker Wycliffe Ochomo has terminated his contract with the Sportpesa Premier League side.
Ochomo missed Muhoroni Friday encounter against Tusker FC in Nakuru under unclear circumstances with Chairman Moses Adagala later clarifying that the striker has been suspended for causing distractions in the team.
However latest development have indicated that the player through Kenya Footballers Association, has requested for termination of his contract with the Awasi based club; but Adagala has rubbished the claims. Ochomo joined Muhoroni Youth FC in June 2015.
In cricket, Kenya cricket team under head Coach Thomas Odoyo is facing Saudi Arabia in the four nation T20 quadrangular series at the Gymkhana Oval in Nairobi.
Kenya defeated the Saudis twice by sixteen runs and six wickets in the preliminary rounds. The national team had their game against Qatar yesterday abandoned when the Nairobi Jeffery’s Sports club was rendered unplayable due to heavy downpours which was witnessed on Sunday night.
However, the game between the two sides was rescheduled for tomorrow, the day which was set aside as the teams official rest day.
In the other fixture this afternoon, Uganda team will have a date with Qatar at the Jeffery’s Oval ground.
