Beldine Odemba has resigned from his position as the national women’s team –Harambee Starlets head coach barely a week before the CECAFA championship kicks off in Tanzania.

Odemba, who is one of the most successful Harambee Starlets coaches, stepped down from her role unexpectedly due to what is believed to be a lack of support from the Federation.

Her last assignment with Starlets was the 5-1, drubbing at the hands of Morocco in an international friendly last week in Tangier.

Kenya is set to get their CECAFA campaign underway on 14th June in Dares Salaam against Burundi, followed by South Sudan three days later, and wind up against Tanzania in the round robin format tournament.

Odemba took over Harambee Starlets on 2nd September 2023.
