The furious parents from Aimeel Preparatory School at Kimbo in Juja Monday protested a move by the institution to increase school fees two weeks after their children reported back to school.

They stormed the institution seeking to address the school management but they were stopped by police officers.

They say the institution had issued them with the normal fee structure which they used to return their children back to school but were unexpectedly hit with another notice two weeks after indicating that every child was due to pay Ksh 6,000 more.

Even as the institution hikes the fee, the parents took a swipe against the school for failing to meet the required learning standards set out by the government such as social distancing in class, proper hygiene among others.

The parents vowed to make every effort to make known and addressed their grievance and called on Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha to intervene and help their children remain in school.
