KBC English Service: Women championing against FGM in Kenya

After walking for a whole day in an effort to run away from her father, Nenkai finally entered the gates of AIC Girls Kajiado. She had injuries on her feet due to long distance walking with torn shoes, and was dressed in ragged ‘lesos’, evidence of a rough journey.

This is what befalls many Maasai girls who are forced to undergo FGM. This story features women who have given their lives to fight for the rights of girls.
